Once again, I can’t sleep. It’s around 4:30 a.m.; I’ve been up since 2:30 this morning. Waking up in the middle of the night and then falling back asleep at around 5:30 a.m. is a common ritual for me. I don’t know how long I’ve been having this issue. Maybe since I was in seventh grade – but I don’t know. But the various things I do when I’m up at this time of night is surf the Internet (Wikipedia.org and online news outlets have been good to me), read, watch movies or just wile away the time doing nothing.
I’ve never seen a specialist about this problem. I guess it’s because this issue doesn’t really bother me that much. I figure, wake up and do something until I fall back asleep. Once in a while I do yoga in the middle of the night. As a matter of fact, that’s why I like exercising that much. If I do enough of it, I could easily fall asleep. That’s what happened to me last week. Within a 12 hour period I did four classes at Tiger Schulmann’s – two kickboxing, two grappling – and I got so exhausted I spent half the weekend sleeping LOL. But it’s a good sleep – one that is much deserved, I believe.
