Scratching that writer’s itch

The urge to write is like a really awful itch you have to scratch. If you love writing so much – like I do — then you would want to write every day, no matter what day (including weekends and holidays). I find my mind in a constant whirlwind of ideas for a new novel or a poem. I think of new plot twists, clever dialogues and new personality traits and habits for characters by observing other people wherever I go and by reading. It’s funny how sometimes writers get the notorious writer’s block when we’re always surrounded by new ideas. We just have to keep our eyes and ears open and pay more attention to our surroundings. It doesn’t have to be in some exotic local, but some place as simple as a coffee house, the office or the park.
