April is National Poetry Month — which means the month kicks off in two days. Besides reading a poem every day next month (and maybe trying to write a few), I know how else I’m going to celebrate National Poetry Month: by attending a poetry reading.
On April 10, there will be a poetry reading, reception and book signing featuring four distinguished New Jersey poets: Jean LeBlanc, Susanna Rich, Edwin Romond and Sander Zulauf. It will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the RoxPAC/Investors Saving Bank Theater in Succasunna, NJ.
I know Jean LeBlanc. Last fall, we took a poetry workshop together in Warwick, NY. Here’s a blog post I wrote about the poetry workshop in August 2010. Jean writes beautiful poetry. At the end of the workshop, she gave out copies of her poetry book “Where We Go: haiku and tanka sequences and other concise imaginings” to her fellow poets, including me. I look forward to seeing her again, as I am to this April 10 poetry celebration. I only hope she’ll recognize me:)

a9NVDA Good point. I hadn’t thought about it quite that way. 🙂
