Like every writer, I have a routine which helps me get into my writing mode in the mornings.
At 5 or 6 a.m., I get up and meditate. Then I make my coffee and settle down with my cup of it on the living room couch or at my writing desk, turn on the radio on the Internet, and surf it. Preferably, I listen to Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, which plays on Z100 in the New York City market where I’m located. From there, I write — blog posting and creative writing.
I prefer to write in the morning on most days because then, I get it out of the way for the rest of the day.
I’d like to take a picture and post a picture of my writing area, but it’s not in the best shape for me to take pictures of LOL.
Writing became such a process of discovery that I couldn’t wait to get to work in the morning: I wanted to know what I was going to say. ~Sharon O’Brien
