Check out this book on Goodreads: Life’s Little Instruction Book: 511 Suggestions, Observations, and Reminders on How to Live a Happy and Rewarding Life by Jackson Brown and published by Rutledge Hill Press.
I read this book in literally five minutes. Each page has a handful of common-sense filled, insightful advice ranging from simple and mundane to life-changing.
Some of the book’s advice that I find interesting are:
#61: Ask someone to pick up your mail and daily paper when you’re out of town. Those are the first two things potential burglars look for.
#257: Never ask a lawyer or accountant for business advice. They are trained to find problems, not solutions.
#266: Beware of the person who has nothing to lose.
#304: Judge your success by he degree that you’re enjoying peace, health and love.
