Ekphrasis Showcase at the Montclair Public Library

I’m already having a terrific 2014, and the year hasn’t even started yet! I’m proud to say that two of my poems are featured in the Ekphrasis showcase next month:-)

The Montclair Write Group is hosting its 15th annual Ekphrasis showcase all throughout January 2014. The definition of ekphrasis is writing that is inspired by and describes an artwork. Both artworks and writings will be displayed in the Montclair Library Gallery. The gallery opening, along with a special Write Group showcase of featured group members, is Sunday, Jan. 5 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Refreshments are served, but there will be no open mic this month. The library’s address is 50 S. Fullerton Ave., Montclair, NJ 07042.

The titles of my featured poems are “The Lenape Trail” and “Antiquated Modernity”. I’d like to thank the Write Group and especially Nancy Taiani for allowing me to be a part of this experience.

So, if you’re in the North Jersey area next month, drop by and support the local artists and writers!
