#TankaTuesday #Ekphrastic #Poetry Challenge No. 335
The August 29, 2023, #tankatuesday challenge is Ekphrastic poetry, which is poetry inspired by works of art. The artwork is “Eugène Manet on the Isle of Wight,” an 1875 oil on canvas painting by Berthe Morisot. This is a beautiful piece of art.
Here’s my poem for this week’s challenge:
She sweeps up his heart
while the breeze sweeps through the blooms.
As he watches her,
he captures this moment in
memory like a painting.
