Darkness whispers under the night’s veil
while I lie in bed by myself.

The blackness cradles and cloaks me.
I must cope with what might jump out at me
from the shadows.
Monsters?
Ghosts?
The Grim Reaper?

Why fear them though?
When madness happens in my head,
it’s only a matter of time before they manifest into reality.
